Cricket

Grange Cricket Club has enjoyed unrivalled success over the last twenty years. The 1st XI were Scottish Premier League Champions in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2006 and 2008. The 3 further XIs all have enviable records within their respective leagues. Season 2009 saw the 2nd X1 finish the season promoted and unbeaten.

Widely regarded as the home of Scottish Cricket, The Grange will stage Scotland's home matches against county opposition, and top One Day International Fixtures for the foreseeable future.

Australia visited Grange on 28th August 2009 and a superb day was had by all - other than Scotland losing! 2010 will see the return of England on Saturday 19th June after a rain affected match in 2008.

The Grange has hosted numerous other high profile international matches over the years including Scotland v West Indies in 1995 and, more recently, Scotland v Australia in 2005, and Scotland v Pakistan in 2006 - Scotland's first ever official One Day International. Some of the world's finest cricketers have played at Grange from Dr W.G.Grace in 1895, to Sir Donald Bradman in 1948 and Brian Lara in 1995.
